Experienced Mover
Salary Range: S15.25 - $18.25
Department: Field Staff
Reports to: Operations Manager
This person has been with IMS for some time and has become proficient at all tasks in the Mover Category. They have a general understanding of the business and can be relied upon to effectively move all items IMS deals with along with leading small teams.
Position Summary:
As an Experienced Mover you will report on a daily basis according to the dispatch message. You will arrive on time to prep your vehicle and gain necessary information for the day’s task. You will then depart to your destination where you will be required to move objects varying is size and weight. These items may be moved to a different location on site, loaded on our truck’s to be moved to a different location, or be thrown out in appropriate dumpsters. You may be required to work at multiple locations during your work day. You may also be tasked with helping in building and installing various furniture. While on the job site you will follow the orders of the lead that is assigned to that job. Upon finishing the assigned job you will return to the warehouse where you will unload and clean out your truck. You will put away all equipment that was used for the day ensuring you are leaving a clean work environment for the following day. Once your days work is complete you will check in with the operations manager to ensure there is no other work to be done that day and then you will clock out.
Schedule
Variable!! For example some weeks you may work 40hrs others you may only work 20 hrs.
Your work day is also variable!! For example you may arrive for work at 6:00am on Monday and then 8:00 am on Tuesday etc….
Hours are not guaranteed. However, our average employee works 35 hours a week. You can get more hours by making yourself available to work.
Essential Functions/Percentage of Time Spent on Each:
1. Moving items varying in size, shape, and weight: 85%
2. Driving to and from locations: 10%
3. Cleaning trucks and facility: 5%
Other Functions:
1. Participating in group meetings
2. Training exercises
3. One on one/development meetings with managers and supervisors.

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Drivers License/clean driving record, Basic Tool Set
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 75 lbs
Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check successfully

Education: High School Diploma
Experience: None
Specific Skills: Building Furniture
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Thorough understanding of tools, how to use them, and an aptitude for building.
Working Conditions:
Outside 50% of the time, often times no air conditioning, on your feet all day, physical labor, must be able to lift 75 lbs on your own, working at constructions sites, walking long distances every day, pushing heavy items long distances, hot and cold environments, conditions are subject to change depending on the job site.
